so, yeah, we have like 2 feet of snow on the ground…starting tomorrow, say noonish, it begins again!  predictions are for anywhere between 10 and 20 more inches.

    Weird, really.

    As near as I can tell, the wind pattern is sweeping down from mid Canada to Alabama then circling through the Atlantic and sweeping back cold wet air. I’d heard of a Greenland high, but that seems to have dissipated (unless it somehow moved southwest).

    Meanwhile, it’s not just snow, but heavy wet snow. Usually we get that early winter or just before spring of the Great Lakes. That’s a small body of water compared to the Atlantic.

    When I saw your first post, Vlad, I thought it would by-pass you and hit hardest on NYC.

    Presumably, when you run out of ocean, you’ll run out of snow.
